A Quick Stopover in Glasgow

During our trip to Europe in May of this year, we had the chance to make a quick stop in Glasgow on our way from Edinburgh to Dublin. After reading mixed reviews – many that said Glasgow is “just another metropolitan city” – we debated if it was worth spending any time there. I can tell you we had a fun time in Glasgow and I am glad we didn’t listen to those negative reviews.

The UK & Ireland Ranked

Hi all! Sorry for the month-delay in posting – I’ve been busy, busy, busy since returning from our backpacking trip, which was amazing by the way! I was able to post some photos on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, so be sure to follow us if you’re not already!

Bulmer's Irish CiderDuring this trip we visited London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Dublin. I had previously visited London way back in 2003 and Dublin in 2008, so long enough to still see each city through new eyes.

Getting Around the UK & Ireland

UK & Ireland RouteOur next trip is coming fast – in 10 short days to be exact! We have our backpacks and most of the necessities we need for traveling, so now it’s just a waiting game until it’s time to pack!

In the meantime, I wanted to share our itinerary so you can see how long we’ll be staying in each location and how we plan on getting around. This is a great example of how you can plan the important details ahead of time, but still leave lots of open time to be spontaneous while you’re there.
