In the meantime, I wanted to share our itinerary so you can see how long we’ll be staying in each location and how we plan on getting around. This is a great example of how you can plan the important details ahead of time, but still leave lots of open time to be spontaneous while you’re there.

Hi everyone! It’s been a little quiet on the blogging front here since we don’t have any trips planned this month. However, we have been doing some cool things around town here in Phoenix, so I thought it would be fun to start a “local series” highlighting activities and events that might be of interest to locals or tourists visiting Arizona.
The most recent noteworthy event we attended was Viva Phoenix, a one-night music festival that takes place in various venues downtown. This isn’t a new event, but for some reason it’s the first time I’ve gone. Over the last couple of years, the downtown Phoenix scene – and the music scene in particular – has been picking up, and this festival was no exception.
I’ve finally recovered enough from Mardi Gras to post an update! Four straight days of drinking too much, eating way too much, and sleeping too little warrant an extra day of recovery in my book.
